Elevating security and compliance in financial services

Like many financial services organisations, Aegon Australia has shifted several of its workloads and systems to the cloud. Aegon Australia is a leading financial services organisation and part of the global group, Aegon. Through their cutting-edge technology platform, they deliver a range of services to insurance companies, including efficient policy administration, streamlined fulfillment management, accurate billing processes, and robust claims management.  

The Business Need

Operating in the financial services sector, Aegon Australia faces a complex set of security and compliance demands. Navigating this requires meticulous adherence to numerous laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Having recently migrated some of their workloads and systems to the cloud, Aegon Australia was seeking an innovative and reliable way to enhance its overall cybersecurity posture and ensure compliance with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) requirements. They also needed to ensure their vendor assessments and tender processes met stringent cybersecurity criteria. Failure to do so would have a significant impact on Aegon’s reputation and market share.
