Intelliworx partners with Humanity Health Group to deliver comprehensive IT services

October 2, 2024 – Intelliworx, a leading global IT managed services provider, has today announced a strategic, multi-year partnership with Humanity Health Group, a premier provider of healthcare solutions. This partnership will see Intelliworx deliver a wide range of IT services to support Humanity Health Group’s mission of providing high-quality healthcare services across the globe. 

Under the terms of the agreement, Intelliworx will provide support for Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Cloud Services, and a robust cybersecurity framework, including services from its Security Operations Center (SOC).   

Additionally, Intelliworx will offer consulting and compliance services for cybersecurity and manage Microsoft 365 licences for Humanity Health Group.

Healthcare spending surge and pause 

The news comes as global policymakers and healthcare industry leaders are looking to increase healthcare technology spending, but in a way that secures better dividends for end users. 

According to Gartner, healthcare and life sciences enterprise IT spending is expected to increase 9.5% in 2024 to around US$265.2 billion ($A384.7 billion). The technology consultancy said industry leaders are increasing spending on IT services and software, with growth rates of 10.4% and 13.4%, respectively, anticipated for the year. 

Meanwhile, the World Economic Forum (WEF) noted last year that US$1.8 trillion is spent on global health that makes minimal or no contributions to positive health outcomes. The WEF added that value-based healthcare relies heavily on data and analytics to measure patient outcomes and cost drivers, highlighting that the necessary digital transformation in healthcare is accelerating. 

In Australia, the Productivity Commission recently released a paper that estimated better integration of digital technology could save more than $5 billion a year for the country’s healthcare sector. 

Maher noted that healthcare providers have been struggling to prioritise efficiency gains from technology investments as the challenge of updating legacy systems, while making investments in cybersecurity, can sometimes be quite significant. 

Maher said: “Humanity Health Group are doing something quite rare here in that they’re walking and chewing gum at the same time. The cybersecurity and privacy burden for healthcare companies is higher than in any other industry, for obvious reasons. We’re seeing a lot of industry organisations prioritise these deliverables, at the expense of everything else.”
